You sit huddled in a blanket watching the raindrops move down your window, a book resting open in your hand. A cozy fire burns while outside the effects of a distant hurricane are moving over the area. The rain is hard and steady and has been falling for hours now. The thunder snaps every now and then and rolls in the distance; it has become predictable and soothing now. You enjoy the rain while resting assured that the hurricane is doing no damage out over the open ocean.
