Deren wanted to see the rain, and he asked in such a way no recourse could be found. So a strong cage for him was found, and he was hauled out into the fields by six strong men, and there he sat for two days, reveling in the rain and the sounds of the sky. How he loved the smell of rain, how he wished Amelia could understand what it meant to him to be free.
