Storms Over Riverwood
Another stormy night in Skryim, with heavy rains not the least bit impeded by the pines. Your little band of adventurers was huddled in tents in the forest near the Embershard Mine. The downpour pummeled the tents' canvas like a drum roll.
The full moon was just passed, and Riverwood had heard howls. It might have been one of the Companions. It might have been a rogue werewolf... It might have been you.
The Sleeping Giant Inn sounded like a lovely refuge, but the guards the Jarl stationed in Riverwood were already looking at you suspiciously. You had been rather antsy the whole day leading up to the full moon. Okay, so it probably /was/ you the guards had heard, but you hadn't strayed /that/ close to the village.
Your thoughts turned to the Embershard Mine. It would be drier and warmer, no doubt. However, your wolf had thought the same thing. It was a rather gory scene in the cave just then. Your wolf had done the guards a favor by clearing it of bandits. The guards obviously didn't see it that way. And maybe "clearing" was too clean a word.
Your party might have been a little exasperated with you afterward. Luckily, they were too tired to argue the point. It was likely that nobody in your party had the heart to blame you for what your wolf did. It was certain that none of the bandits had the heart--you'd eaten theirs.
Too much thinking like that was bound to rile the beast, so you let the roar of the rain dull your thoughts. It was time to rest; tomorrow was a new day.
