You know it's really winter...
... when the snow starts piling on trees and rooftops until there's a thick layer of frosting covering every surface and the sun shines brighter, reflecting off of every snowflake that landed in the middle of the night.
While the wind and snow blows on outside, you sit cozily inside by the fire, enjoying a nice book and sipping on a cup of hot cocoa. You hear people passing by in the snow, and imagine their heavy boots crunching into fresh white snow.
